So what is the vaccine?
A vaccine is a dead, weekend, or inactive part of the same causative agent responsible for the disease.
It triggers the response in the immune system of our body. It neither causes the disease nor produces the original organisms, viruses.
How does the vaccine work?
The vaccine works by triggering the immune response. Our immune system has natural antibodies, which stimulate when a foreign substance or antigen is recognized. These antibodies then fight with those foreign substances to protect our bodies from their evil effects.
All the vaccines work in the same manner. They cause the immune system to produce antibodies. When the antibodies stimulate, they fight with those weakened or dead pathogens. As now the body has recognized pathogens, it will retain this memory in the memory cells. If your body gets infected with an infectious agent, like the coronavirus, it will be immunized.
In simple words, you have a prepared army of antibodies in your body that will attack these pathogenic viruses in any future attack by the same virus. In this way, vaccines provide protection.COVID 19 vaccine works on the same basic principle of immunization. After getting vaccinated, you will get mild symptoms of the disease but not the disease itself.
